The likes of Southampton, Tottenham, Everton, Leicester City, Stoke, Hull and many more will lose players next year.
The qualifying for nest years African Cup of Nations has now come to a close and to some Premier League teams it was a relief. The likes of Emmanuel Adebayor, Mohamed Salah and John Obi Mikel will not be going to Equatorial Guinea, as their respective nations did not make it. For others there is no such luck.
Plenty of teams up and down the country will lose key players. The teams likely to take the most English based talent would be Senegal and the Ivory Coast. West Ham will certainly lose out. Both Cheikhou Kouyate and Diafra Sakho could be on their way. Former Hammer Momo Diame is team captain so Hull City will lose him. Meanwhile Southampton, Newcastle United and Stoke City may have to do without Sadio Mane, Paposs Cisse and Mame Biram Diouf repsectively. Southampton will also be without Emmanuel Mayuka, who goes with Zambia.
Manchester City perhaps lose the most talented player. Yaya Toure will be captaining the Ivory Coast. His brother Kolo will also leave Liverpool short at the back.
Newcastle could lose Cheick Tiote while Swansea will be playing Bafetimbi Gomis more - as Wilfried Bony will be going.
West Ham could also lose Alex Song. The on loan midfielder is currently out of favour with the Cameroonian national team and unlikely to go, but if both parties have a change of heart he will be off. Benoit Assou-Ekotto may also go with the Indomitable Lions - not that Tottenham Hotspur fans would notice, or care. the same applies for South African Bongani Khumalo. Meanwhile Everton striker Samuel Eto'o has retired from international football. Everton fans hope it remains that way.
Algeria take a healthy contingent with them. Emerging talents at Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle Nabil Bentaleb and Mehdi Abeid will hope to travel with the Desert Foxes. Riyad Mahrez of Leicester City and Adlene Guedioura of Crystal Palace could also be on their way.
It is not just England either. Bilel Mohsni should go with Tunisia, leaving Rangers in the dirt. Celtic could lose Wakaso Mubarak with the Ghanaian side. Christian Atsu and Jeff Schlupp of Everton and Leicester respectively will also join up with the Black Stars.
The football league is also effected. Albert Adomah of Middlesbrough could make the Ghana squad. Tokelo Rantie of Bournemourth and Kagisho Digkacoi of Cardiff City are likely to be in the Bafana Bafana squad for South Africa. The captain of their nation is Dean Furman, one of two League One players likely to go.
The other is Gab Zakuani, currently with Peterborough, he should travel alongside West Bromwich Albion man Youssouf Mulumbu.
Cardiff will also lose Bruno Ecuele Manga, who should join Frederic Bulot of Charlton Athletic in the Gabon squad. While Wolves will be devastated that Mali are going to take away both Nouha Dicko and Bakary Sakho from the Molineux.
All in all a massive list of names set to fly away home next year.
