Adryan can exploit Blackburn for Leeds, indicates potential weakness

Adryan

Leeds attacker Adryan could be a key weapon for the away side when they face Blackburn at the weekend.

Leeds United are hoping to capitalise of the feel good factor instilled by new head coach Neil Redfearn when they travel to Blackburn this weekend.

Approximately 7,000 fans are ready to make the trip to Ewood Park this weekend, but it will not be easy for their side against Rovers, who sit one point outside the play-offs and seven above Leeds.

Their trump card if they are successful could come in the presence of Brazilian youngster Adryan, who was impressive in the win over Blackpool, creating a goal for Souleymane Doukara,

He has two assists in four starts, and the 20-year-old has created more chances per game than any of his teammates this campaign.

Against Blackburn, there are reasons to believe he can flourish, and help his side find the net and potentially turn the game in their favour.

His talents were really shown with his part played in Doukara's counter-attacking goal a fortnight ago, and it should be noted that Blackburn are one of the 11 of 24 teams in the Championship to concede a goal on the break already this season.

Rovers have also allowed nine through balls to bypass their defence, the fourth highest figure in the Championship, and below average from a defensive perspective.

Through Balls AllowedGoals Conceded Fast BreakPossession won per game in defensive third
Blackburn Rovers 9 1 22.94
Championship Average 6.08 0.54 23.72

Rovers also rank below average in terms of winning the ball back in their own third, which again gives Leeds and their talismanic attacker Adryan belief he can be effective.

My contrast Blackburn have won the highest percentage of aerial duels (56 per cent) of any team in the Championship, and if Leeds are to win they would be advised to try to keep the ball on the deck accordingly.

The prospect is on loan from Flamengo and recently told how much he is enjoying his time at the club. The game against Rovers, for all their talent, could be nicely set up for him to succeed once again.
