Manchester United Under-21 manager Warren Joyce has been singing the praises of youngsters Will Keane and James Wilson.
The two forwards are currently part of the U21 side, and both have already featured for the senior team in the Premier League.
Joyca believes that both Keane and Wilson are very talented players, and backs them to get better as the season progresses.
“I was pleased for both strikers, Will Keane and James Wilson, to score in the match against West Ham United," he wrote in Inside United. "But I still think there is more to come from the pair of them.
“Wilson has still yet to play a full 90 minutes this season at any level and Keane deserves praise for the volume of work he has been putting in.
"He’s starting to see some rewards but there is still a long way to go and, personally, I think there is a lot more to come from both of them.”
Joyce was alluding to Keane and Wilson scoring in United U21s’ 2-1 victory over their West Ham counterparts at Rush Green on October 24.
The win saw United return to the top of the Under-21 Premier League table and, despite their 3-2 home defeat to Leicester City earlier this month, they are still the leaders on goal difference.
Of the two youngsters, 18-year-old Wilson appears to be more highly rated by United manager Louis van Gaal, who has played the teenager in four Premier League matches already this season.
Keane has the potential and the talent to establish himself in the United first team as well, but it appears that he has to work a bit harder to impress Van Gaal.
