It's been out for over a year now, and there have been many updates to it's operating system to make it more stable, as well as introducing many new features those who bought it on day one didn't have.
The library of games for for the Xbox One has grown massively in the past 6 months too, and it's set to continue to grow even further over the next few years. So you'll be investing well.

It appears that in the battle for the lowest price, Amazon is the best place to go. Especially as it's free delivery in the UK too. However, some of you may want to gather those coveted GAME reward points, or simply walk into a store and put the console in with your weekly shop, rather than buy online. Amazon.co.uk appears to be the best deal on the Xbox One console right now at just £309.99
If you've already got games lined up elsewhere, and just want the console, a controller, and a standard headset, this is the right deal for you. You can get the console bundled with the Kinect sensor, but to be honest it's not really worth buying unless you know exactly which Kinect-based games you're getting, of which there aren't many. I have listed a Kinect bundle further down the page, just in case you really want it.
Xbox One game bundles
OK, now we're onto the game bundles, so here's where it get's interesting. For the run up to Christmas there have been multiple top game titles added in with the console. You're spoilt for choice a little here. We've listed a few deals which we think are the best value for money.
Note that you'll need an internet connection for some of these as the games may be digital download only. Amazon have bundled a lot of games in with Forza Motorsport 5, with each of the sets coming in at just £329.00. So, in most cases you'll get at least two games, with some having the odd extra game thrown in.

This deal has some of the best value for money out of the lot. You get Alien: Isolation and Forza 5: Racing Game of the Year Edition, along with the Alien Anthology on Blu-ray, which packs in all the Alien movies together. Now that's some true Christmas Day viewing right there.
Here's where the price starts to go up a little. Probably because Dragon Age: Inquisition isn't due to actually launch in the UK until this Friday. You can read our first impressions of the game, which is shaping up to be a great RPG experience.
Forza Horizon 2 is a great alternative to Forza 5, which is bundled with most of the other deals here. Take a look at our review to see if it's more your style.
This is a great deal for the price, especially compared to the deals above. You're getting two recently-released games in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare and Sunset Overdrive, plus a third with Forza 5. All three are excellent games!
If you're buying a console as a family-oriented purchase, this bundle could suit you more. You get the obligatory Forza 5 in here, but it also comes with Disney Infinity 2.0 Marvel Superheroes Starter Pack, which is sure to please the younger members of your family.
Another triple game bundle here. It's more for someone who wants to be scared senseless by Aliens, and then follow it up with more paranormal frights with The Evil Within. After that they can drive it all off with Forza 5.
And finally, here's your Kinect bundle. Weighing in at £469.00, but including 4 games and the Kinect sensor. This is probably the ultimate family/social pack you can get right now. If movement-based games are your thing, this will sort you out. You can buy an Xbox One with Kinect, but without games, for £389.86, if you really want, but we can't justify spending that right now, as the Kinect doesn't have much use at the moment.
