Sporting Lisbon winger Nani has backed Manchester United to have a successful 2014-15 season.
Louis van Gaal’s side are currently struggling in the Premier League, having picked up just 16 points from 11 matches so far this campaign.
United are just two points behind fourth-placed West Ham United, but the Red Devils’ title chances look slim as they are 13 points off the pace.
However, Nani, who joined his former club Sporting on a season-long loan deal from United in the summer transfer, predicts a bright future for the Manchester outfit.
"I continue to follow Manchester United every day,” the Portugal international told MUTV. “The team are not doing very well [in the table] but I am very confident the future will be better.”
United are back in action on Saturday when they take on Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League.
