Sheffield Wednesday striker Stevie May made his international debut for Scotland against England.
The Owls forward was a second half substitute, but was unable to help prevent his side falling to a 3-1 defeat to the Three Lions.
The 22-year-old took to Twitter after the game to post his pleasure at the achievement despite the final score:
Pity about the result, still unbelievable feeling to make my debut for my country. #HardWorkPaysOff— Steven may☮ (@Stevie__may) November 18, 2014
It's reward for a solid enough start to life in the Championship for the striker, who signed from St Johnstone in the summer.
May was involved in previous international squads but did not make it onto the pitch.
The Wednesday striker played the final 25 minutes of the match, touching the ball only eight times, but did not misplace a pass.
