Stoke City and Burnley face each other at the Britannia Stadium on Saturday before a run of matches that will test the managerial nous of Mark Hughes.
Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal are all on the horizon for the Potters but first up is a home match against Sean Dyche’s side, who will aim to make things very difficult for the hosts after picking up their first win of the season prior to the international break.
Stoke are currently ninth in the Premier League while Burnley are rooted to the bottom of the table having taken just seven points all season.
Stoke injury concerns: Marc Wilson has a knock but has a strong chance of recovering while Phil Bardsley should also be in contention.
Stoke absences: Robert Huth is out with a calf injury, Glenn Whelan has a leg problem and Peter Odemwingie has a knee injury.
Burnley injury concerns: Dyche has no fresh injury concerns ahead of the match.
Burnley absences: Sam Vokes is out with a knee injury and Matt Taylor’s Achilles problem means there is no return-date for the midfielder as yet.
