Leeds United midfielder Rodolph Austin is celebrating success with his country Jamaica.
The 29-year-old was the captain of the Jamaica side that defeated Trinidad and Tobago to win the Caribbean Cup.
The match at the Montego Bay Sports Complex finished goalless after 90 minutes and went into extra time. However, neither Jamaica nor Trinidad could score in the ensuing 30 minutes.
Austin played the entire game and scored in the penalty shootout which ended 4-3 in his side’s favour.
The former SK Brann star was adjudged the man of the match, and the victory means that Jamaica will feature in the 2016 Copa America.
Austin will now return to Leeds and will hope to lead the Whites to victory over Blackburn Rovers away from home in the Championship on Saturday.
