Leeds United striker Billy Sharp has backed Lewis McGugan to be a success at Sheffield Wednesday.
The 26-year-old midfielder has joined the Owls on loan from fellow Championship club Watford until January 1.
McGugan moved to Watford in the summer of 2013 after leaving Nottingham Forest and has made seven appearances for the Hornets so far this season.
However, the former England Under-19 international has featured just twice since September 16 and is apparently deemed surplus to requirements by manager Slavisa Jokanovic.
Sharp, who played alongside McGugan at Forest for the 2012-13 season, believes that the midfielder will show his quality for Wednesday.

In six Championship appearances for Watford this season, McGugan created five chances and had a pass accuracy of 84%.
Wednesday are currently 13th in the Championship table with 21 points from 17 matches, seven points behind sixth-placed Brentford.
