Chelsea morning news: Fabregas relaxes; Azpilicueta on duo’s commitment

A select round-up of the latest news relating to Chelsea

Chelsea defender Cesar Azpilicueta has been talking about how it feels to join up with his country for international duty.

The Spaniard was talking amid the controversy surrounding Diego Costa and Cesc Fabregas, whose commitment to their country has been questioned after they pulled out due to injury.

In comments published by Inside Spanish Football, Azpilicueta said of any club pressure from Jose Mourinho, “No (he didn’t pressure me). He knows that I’m always thrilled to come play for Spain.

“When the squad is announced I’m overjoyed and when I’m with Chelsea I give my all.

“I don’t know anything (about Fabregas or Costa) and I’m speaking for myself. What I see is that they’ve always shown the utmost commitment whenever they’ve been here.”

In other news, Fabregas has been photographed enjoying some down-time during the international break.

The Daily Mail has published pictures of the Chelsea star out for lunch with his girlfriend and the partner of Argentina international Lionel Messi.
