Arsenal latest: Ozil 'doesn't care' about media; Nasri transfer investigated

All the latest news and gossip from the past 24 hours at The Emirates Stadium.

Mesut Ozil has not been a massive hit at Arsenal since his £42.4 million deal in September 2013.

Despite a promising start he has struggled for form and is currently out of action with a knee ligament injury, expected to keep him out until next year.

But Ozil has now made it clear that criticism does not get to him, and he trusts the Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger to help improve him:

“He [Wenger] knows what he wants and I know he can bring me a step forward; he trusts me in that way and I trust him, completely. I’m proud to be part of this team."

“I’ve been in this business so long now, I’ve been a professional since I was 16, 17. I don’t care what the press thinks about me as football changes from day to day. You can play well one day and badly the next. I’m used to it.”

Arsenal fans will be hoping he returns from injury in great form.

Samir Nasri's move to Arsenal is set to be investigated by the French police.

It is claimed by Le10 Sport that a number of Marseille's transfer deals are to be investigated following the arrest of club president Vincent Labrune on Tuesday.

It is claimed he was pocketing cash from transfer deals, including the £13.5 million paid for Nasri in 2008 as well as deals involving Didier Drogba and Andre Pierre Gignac.

Arsenal are not believed to have committed any wrong in the process.
