Anderlecht star Denis Praet's agent comments on his future

Manchester United, Liverpool and Newcastle United are left in no doubts over Dennis Praet's situation, as his agent confirms he will leave Anderlecht in the near future.

Dennis Praet's agent, Jacques Lichtenstein, has confirmed his client will look to leave current club Anderlecht in search of a higher challenge.

The 20-year-old attacking midfielder has won all there is to win in Belgium and with Anderlecht long shots to make it out of Champions League group stages this season, it seems Praet wants to move on to a higher challenge.

Talking to Sport Magazine, Jacques Lichtenstein conceded: 'Praet leaves. What can an extra season in Belgium still teach him after several campaigns at European level and after contributing to three consecutive titles?'

After the big question was answered by the player's representative, Anderlecht can now brace themselves for what will undoubtedly be a scramble from big European clubs in hope of landing their midfielder.

Focusing on Premier League clubs alone, various newspaper reports have already linked the talented midfielder with Arsenal, Manchester United, Liverpool and Newcastle. And given his pedigree, achievements and age, it can come as no surprise.

In fact, earlier in the year, when Anderlecht came up against Arsenal in the Champions League, the 20-year-old told media in his home country that he had already rejected a potential move to England.

When he was 16-years-old, the explosive midfielder rejected Arsenal in order to join the Belgian club in order to focus on his studies. He later went on to progress through the academy, into the first-team and ever since he was given a chance he hasn't ever looked in danger of dropping out.

This season, he has only been on the losing side once in Belgium's Pro League but twice in the Champions League. He tops the assists charts in Belgium, with five assists in 12 games, as well as contributing one goal and one assist in his four Champions League appearances.
