Goalkeeper training at Manchester United continues to work on his fitness.
Victor Valdes says he is continuing to work his way back to fitness as rumours over his future with Manchester United intensify.
The goalkeeper has been invited to train with the Red Devils as he seeks to overcome a serious knee injury.
After David de Gea suffered a dislocated finger on international duty with Spain, speculation mounted that he could be fast-tracked into signing for the club.
He sent a message on Twitter this morning stating that his training work is continuing:
Preparado ya para el entrenamiento de hoy! I'm ready for the training session today! http://t.co/3m1nm3gtSI— Victor Valdes (@1victorvaldes) November 18, 2014
Valdes could conceivably feature for United if he is signed as they have a spare squad place in their Premier League quota.
Yet he is still short of fitness required to play in the Premier League this weekend if needed against Arsenal, meaning United have no need to rush through his registration.
It is still unclear if United intend to or even if Valdes wants to sign for the club permanently, given the fact David de Gea is the safe number one, yet his message continues to suggest he is edging closer to being ready.
