Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has been talking about the BluesPremier League title chances after they raced to the top of the table.

Jose Mourinho’s side are yet to lose a game this season and are four points ahead of second-placed Southampton. But speaking to the press this week the Belgian international tempered expectations.

In comments published by, the Chelsea ‘keeper said, “We don’t have the title in the bag.

“We are working game by game. The Premier League is very difficult.

“We are trying to win with every game that is possible but there will still be a long way to win the title.”

Chelsea have been outstanding so far this season, but it is good to see their players are keeping their feet on the ground at this early stage of what is sure to be a demanding campaign.

In other news, former Bolton Wanderers striker Kevin Davies has tipped Chelsea defender Gary Cahill to be a future England captain.

In comments published by the Bolton News, Davies said of his former teammate, “He is getting better all the time and that is backed up by talk of him one day being in line for the England captaincy.

“He looks to be the next name in contention after Wayne Rooney.”
