Watch Dogs hacks into Wii U this week

Watch Dogs

Digital downloads for Ubisoft’s open world adventure are rolling out for Wii U from tomorrow

While gamers on other platforms have been enjoying the hacking adventures of Aiden Pearce since May, those on Wii U have been made to wait to get their hands on the game.

This week however Nintendo’s latest generation console will at last be getting Watch Dogs with downloads arriving on Nintendo’s eShops in America on 18th November and Europe on 21st.

Despite Ubisoft announcing earlier this year that the Wii U wouldn’t be getting Watch Dog’s Bad Blood DLC. the game will be coming to Wii U with two add-on packs available to purchase separately at launch: Conspiracy, gives players the option to hunt down body snatching cyborgs while Access Granted adds three new missions along with added skins and perks drawn from pre-order bonus content that was made available to other platforms.

Since launch Ubisoft has sold 9 million copies of Watch Dogs worldwide with the game breaking records for day one sales for the developers and the biggest selling launch for a new IP in the UK.

HITC's Adam Gell in his review of Watch Dogs noted, “With some truly fun mechanics and entertaining moments it can stand proudly next to the likes of Sleeping Dogs for example. The story may flip flop between serious and less serious tones, causing you to sometimes wonder where things are going and who Aiden Pearce really is, but this game should definitely not be overlooked”
