Angry Louis van Gaal

A select round-up of the latest news relating to Manchester United

Portugal take on Argentina on Tuesday evening at Old Trafford and according to reports Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal will be in attendance to keep a close eye on his on-loan winger Nani.

The Portuguese international is currently playing for Sporting Lisbon, where he has impressed this season, and newspaper Record claims the United boss will be “a very discerning viewer” later this week as he considers whether or not to include Nani in his long-term plans.

The report claims that while the player will remain at Sporting for the entire season, van Gaal still sees him as a good option ahead of the likes of Adnan Januzaj, Ashley Young and Juan Mata.

In other news, Cristiano Ronaldo has touched down in England for that match, and has been mobbed by fans.

The Daily Express has published photographs of the former United player, who will make only his second appearance at Old Trafford since moving to Real Madrid in a then-world-record transfer.
