Former United star Cristiano Ronaldo will lead Portugal at Old Trafford and will hope to make a winning return to his old stomping ground.
The 29-year-old was on the books of the Red Devils for six years between 2003 and 2009, winning the Premier League title thrice, the Champions League and the FA Cup once each, and the League Cup twice.
Ronaldo moved to Madrid in the summer of 2009 in a then-world record deal, and a year later at the Santiago Bernabeu he was joined by Di Maria.
Argentina international Di Maria forged a strong partnership with Ronaldo over the next four years, winning La Liga, the Copa Del Rey (twice) and the Champions League.
In the summer transfer window, Madrid sold Di Maria to United for a British-record fee of £59.7 million.
The 26-year-old has been a success so far at Old Trafford, scoring three goals in nine Premier League appearances while having a pass accuracy of 79% and a shot accuracy of 53%.
