Juan Mata has been talking about Manchester United's upcoming match against Arsenal.

Manchester United play-maker Juan Mata has been looking ahead to this weekend’s Premier League match against Arsenal.

As with every Monday, the Spaniard published a blog post revealing his thoughts of the last seven days and his hopes for the upcoming matches.

United are currently seventh in the table, just one point and one place behind the Gunners, and both sides will know how vital a win could be in their pursuit of a top-four finish.

“I have good memories of my previous games against Arsenal,” Mata wrote. “Obviously they are a tough opponent. The Emirates is a great stadium and I hope we have a nice game and bring back three points to keep moving up the table.”

He went on to praise Arsenal’s playing style, while suggesting they also allow their opponents to play which should make for a very entertaining game.

Mata came off the bench to score the winner against Crystal Palace in United’s last match and he will be hoping to feature from the start this weekend.

Louis van Gaal’s team selection will be interesting given the international break and the injuries that show no signs of abating for United. But in Mata he has a player who is fresh and ready to do whatever is asked of him.
