Croatian legend: Marouane Fellaini 'can't play football'

Manchester United star Marouane Fellaini has been criticised after his performance for Belgium against Wales.

Former Croatia star Zvonimir Boban has claimed Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini simply can’t play football.

Boban was watching the Belgium v Wales Euro qualifying game for Sky Italia and laid into the Belgian midfielder, criticising him for his performance in the game against Chris Coleman’s team.

“Fellaini can't play football. Seriously he can't play football,” said Boban.

“It's unthinkable Nainggolan (Roma midfielder) doesn't play.”

Fellaini has battled his way into Marc Wilmots’ side after some impressive recent performances for United in the Premier League.

He came off the bench to score an important goal against West Brom and produced arguably his best performance in a Manchester United shirt in the 1-1 draw against Chelsea at Old Trafford.

Fellaini’s signature was initially criticised by fans and there were reports linking him with a United exit as fresh as last summer, but he’s buckled down and worked hard to change the way he’s perceived at the club.

It’s now difficult to see United going into the game against Arsenal this weekend without him.
