James Wilson has been singing the praises of Manchester United teammate Wayne Rooney.
Forward Rooney is one of the best players in the world and recently earned his 100th cap for the England national team.
The 29-year-old has been in the media spotlight for over 10 years, and there are many who suggest that he is past his prime.
In fact, there are some football followers who claim that Rooney has always been overrated and overhyped, but Wilson seems to think otherwise.
The 18-year-old United striker appears to be in awe of the former Everton star’s goalscoring ability and told United’s official website when asked about Rooney’s best attributes: “He can score from anywhere, outside the box or inside the box. He can score with free-kicks, penalties, volleys, headers… all sorts.”
When asked who is most likely to score a picture-book goal in training, Wilson said: “It would probably be Wayne, with a volley or something.
“The ball will drop out to him and he’ll just go for it when nobody else would think to do it and it’ll fly into the top corner.”
Not too shabby for a 29-year-old has-been, eh?
