Confirmed: Netherlands starting XI v Latvia - United stars start, Villa man left out

Van Persie Holland

Manchester United, Newcastle United, QPR and Aston Villa players could feature.

It is a big game this evening for The Netherlands as Guus Hiddink looks to get his nation's qualifying campaign back on track.

The team have struggled recently. They have lost to both the Czech Republic and Iceland in qualifying already, leaving them struggling to make it to France 2016.

Hiddink has now made it clear that he will leave should they lose to Latvia this evening, which would indeed be a massive shock.

Premier League interest is of course apparent, especially from Manchester United.

Both United players Blind and Robin van Persie are likely to start the game. Of course the Manchester United striker is also the Netherlands captain but his form has recently been called into question by Dutch fans.

He is set to start up front with Klaas Jan Huntelaar today, with Arjen Robben and reported Manchester United target Memphis Depay reportedly set to be supporting from the wings.

Meanwhile Newcastle United star  Tim Krul should play back-up goalie, while Aston Villa, Sunderland and QPR stars Ron Vlaar, Patrick van Aanholt and Leroy Fer are also in the squad.

So who starts.

Here is the confirmed line-up...

Cillessen; Van der Wiel, Bruma, De Vrij, Willems; Afellay, Blind, Sneijder, Robben; Huntelaar, Van Persie
