18-year-old Liverpool forward Ryan Kent wants to emulate Ronaldo

Another young Liverpool star has been talking about his aspirations and interests this weekend.

In a series of question-and-answer sessions on Liverpool’s official website, some of the Reds’ Academy stars have been asked to reveal a little more about themselves, as well as their thoughts on teammates and idols.

In recent interviews, both Jordan Rossiter and Tom Brewitt have said that the most skilful player at their level is Ryan Kent; and so it is interesting to see that Kent himself is the subject of the latest Q&A on the club’s official website.

Kent is an 18-year-old secondary-striker who can also operate on either wing to devastating effect.

This season alone the player has two goals and two assists in the under-21 Premier League and a further two assists in the UEFA Youth League. The player also has two caps, and two goals, for England’s under-18s.

In short he is a very talented young man but having been praised in the recent past by his Academy teammates, he finally had the chance to answer a few questions of his own.

He was not asked who the most skilful player at his level was, but Kent did reveal that his idol growing up was Brazilian superstar Ronaldinho while the Liverpool star he most admires is, unsurprisingly, Steven Gerrard.

As with Harry Wilson before him, Kent said that his ultimate dream in football was to win the Ballon d’Or. And while it remains to be seen if he can achieve what is the goal of so many, he certainly has the talent to become a vital part of Liverpool’s team of the future.
