West Ham United duo Cheikhou Kouyate and Diafra Sakho are over the moon.
The Hammers’ summer signings will feature in the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations after helping Senegal qualify for the tournament on Saturday.
Stoke City striker Mame Biram Diouf’s goal in the seventh minute proved to be enough for Alain Giresse’s side to pick up all three points against Egypt in Cairo in the Group G qualifier.
The win ensured a top-two finish in the group for Senegal, who are currently a point behind leaders Tunisia after five rounds of matches.
