Wes Brown votes United legend Giggs the best player he ever played with

The Sunderland vice-captain opened up on a number of former teammates at Manchester United.

Wes Brown was interviewed this week regarding the various players he has played with during his career, a spell which has taken in periods at Manchester United and Sunderland, as well as a lengthy role with the English national team.

The former United man, who made 362 appearances for his hometown club over 14 years, thought long and hard when asked to suggest the best player he has played with during his career.

The 35-year-old ended up "going personal" as he put it, and picked Old Trafford icon and current assistant Ryan Giggs.

He may not have as many appearances and titles for United as the Welshman, but Brown still managed to pick up 7 Premier League and 2 Champions League trophies. Giggs on the other hand has 963 appearances, picking up a heady 13 league titles.

Cristiano Ronaldo made off with a hat trick of positive odes from Brown, who voted the Real Madrid star top when it came to quickest, hardest working and most skilful.

It wasn't so good for Brazilian midfielder Anderson, who Brown suggested was the least intelligent player he's ever worked with, on account of his inability to pick up English during his several years in the country, while Sunderland fullback Billy Jones walked away with the title of worst dressed.
