Bristol City have completed a deal with Chelsea to take Todd Kane on loan.

Chelsea youngster Todd Kane has joined League One leaders Bristol City on a two-month loan deal, reported by the official Chelsea website.

The 18-year-old has been with the Blues since he was an Under-8 and progressed through the youth teams.

He played an integral role in the club’s FA Youth Cup triumph in 2012 and gained valuable experience by accompanying the first-team squad to Munich for their Champions League success the same year.

Last season, Kane moved to Championship outfit Blackburn on loan where he established himself in the starting XI and scored his first senior goal in a 5-2 thrashing of Barnsley.

Now, after starting the season as captain for the Blues under-21 side, the right-back has been given the green light by boss Jose Mourinho to join Bristol City on loan until 18 January.

The Robbins are currently managed by Steve Cotterill and have started their League One campaign in fantastic fashion, topping the table and remaining undefeated after 16 matches.

The England U19 international will be keen to nail down a regular spot at Ashton Gate and help the club consolidate their promotion push over the upcoming hectic festive schedule.

Kane becomes the 27th Chelsea player to depart Stamford Bridge on loan this season.
