Liverpool fans should not worry too much about their current form hints a former player.
The former Finland international played 43 times for Liverpool, scoring nine goals in the process. And now he has been speaking about Brendan Rodgers’ current side.
“Liverpool have quality players and a quality squad,” Litmanen told the club's official website. “So it’s just a question of time when things turn up. I’m confident.
“In the long-term we’re talking about a season that lasts for 38 games. A lot of things can happen. There are bad runs, there are good runs.”
It is fair to say Liverpool are currently in the midst of a bad run, having lost their last three matches and with just one victory in their last six.
That said, after the international break Rodgers’ side have a run of games they should pick up some much needed momentum in.
Games against Crystal Palace, Stoke City, Leicester City and Sunderland are ones Liverpool will know they should be winning, although their opponents will beg to differ.
But until their form does take a turn for the better, the doubts will remain, so it is over to the players to show they can turn things round as Litmanen has hinted.
