German international Antonio Rudiger could soon become an Arsenal transfer target - after the VfB Stuttgart man admitted his love for The Gunners.
The defender, who has also been linked with Manchester United, Chelsea and West Ham, has recently made his debut for the World Champions and is considered one of the brightest defensive talents in German football.
Stuttgart have admitted they may have to sell the player at the right price and Rudiger's most recent comments suggest that he would prefer Arsenal over another destination.
He told Bild earlier in the month:
"I have always dreamed of the Premier League. I have been following Arsenal since the days of Henry and Bergkamp. I watch videos of Arsenal all the time on YouTube and I often wear the current Alexis Sanchez shirt.
"My heart beats for Arsenal."
Rudiger is valued at around £7 million by the Bundesliga outfit and Arsenal could add him to their growing German contingent.
But it might alarm some Arsenal fans to see how well he is getting on with Lukas Podolski. The Arsenal forward is currently angling for a move away from The Emirates.
So while these two laugh and joke in training, would Poldi be telling Rudiger to steer clear?
Of course not. Podolski is simply unhappy with the situation at Arsenal, not the club as a whole. He loves Arsenal and their fans so will likely be telling Rudiger that if Arsenal come calling he should take the plunge.
All that remains is for Arsenal to make the call.
