Manchester United forward Javier Hernandez has posted a picture on his official Twitter account of him posing with former Old Trafford great Ruud van Nistelrooy.
The Mexican forward was in Amsterdam for his country’s international friendly with the Netherlands – a match Hernandez’s side won 3-2 on Wednesday.
But it was three days later that the player currently on loan at Real Madrid took to Twitter to post a picture of the two men along with the following message:
“Thanks Amsterdam for a good experience. Here a pic with the legend (van Nistelrooy).”
The former Holland striker scored 149 goals for United to go down as one of their greatest ever forwards, and in Hernandez’s early years at Old Trafford it looked like the Mexican sharp-shooter may follow suit.
But despite scoring 59 goals of his own in the red of United, it looks as though Chicharito’s future could be away from the club after he was sent on loan to the Bernabeu this season.
He has netted four times for Real to date, while his replacement Radamel Falcao has struggled with injuries, so who knows what the future could bring. All Hernandez can do is keep scoring and see what happens…
