It has been a fairly successful weekend for the England national teams. The senior side eventually got their act into gear and defeated Slovenia 3-1 at Wembley. The under-21 side defeated Portugal 3-1 the night before.
And Chelsea under-19s beat Italy under-19s 3-0 as well during the international fixtures this week.
Wait, sorry, England under 19s. Of course, you could be forgiven for thinking it was Chelsea.
Because it was the Chelsea boys in top form for the youth team as England romped to victory against their illustrious opponents at the New York Stadium in Rotherham.
Izzy Brown bagged a brace, including an excellent strike from a well worked corner. Ruben Loftus-Cheek, once compared to Brazilian legend Socrates bagged the other. The pair made a formidable partnership, RLC backing up the big man Brown up top and it further proves that Chelsea really do have some excellent talent on their hands.
In time Brown and Loftus-Cheek might just end up being regular Chelsea and England features.
