Arsenal morning news: €5m gets Podolski; Destro 'happy' with rumours

Lukas Podolski Pre FA Cup Press Conference

All the latest news and gossip from The Emirates Stadium this morning.

German paper Bild are reporting that Lukas Podolski could be sold this winter for a staggeringly low price of just €5 million.

The German international is currently unhappy with his situation at Arsenal and has made that clear in recent interviews.

Meanwhile his national coach Jogi Low has urged him to make a move, for the good of his career.

The likes of Schalke, Borussia Dortmund, Wolfsburg, Juventus and Galatasaray are all keen on the striker.

Arsenal are said to be plotting a move for Lazio striking talent Keita Balde Diao.

It is reported in Tutto Mercato Web that Arsenal are ready to make a move for the talented teenager, who Liverpool tried to sign in the summer.

Arsenal could use another striker in their ranks and the Spaniard is set to be one player they consider to strengthen the position.

However, his €30 million valuation will prove a massive stumbling block considering his relative lack of first-team football.

Manchester United are also said to be keeping tabs on Diao.

Mattia Destro has welcomed links to Arsenal.

The Italian striker is currently struggling for regular first-team football at AS Roma and is being heavily linked with a potential winter exit.

Chelsea are believed to be keen, but Destro has now said of Arsenal:

“Arsenal for me? The rumours are good, I’m happy for them. This is the proof that I’m doing my work well.

“There are so many things that I can improve on. I must never stop and continue to learn new things."

Destro is not however believed to be up for sale, with Roma seeing him as a star of the future.

Arsenal youngster Jack Jebb has extended his loan at Stevenage. The talented midfielder's original one month deal has now been pushed back into January.

He has played twice for the club, but is currently injured.
