Tottenham Hotspur morning news: Delph contract talks fail, Yedlin eager to start

A round up of news stories this morning about Tottenham Hotspur.

The Mirror claims Aston Villa have failed to reach an agreement with Fabian Delph over a new contract.

Villa reportedly offered the England midfielder a contract worth £50,000 per week which he’s supposedly turned down.

Tottenham could now be free to push on and try to secure him on a deal when his Villa contract expires.

DeAndre Yedlin has revealed that he’d like to get his Tottenham Hotspur career under way.

Spurs have already agreed a deal to sign the defender but it’s unclear whether he’ll join the club this January or next summer.

“Would I like to? (Move in January) Yes, I'd like to get there and help but I don't know all the ins and outs of that process so I'll just have to wait and see what happens,” said Yedlin.

Tottenham Hotspur defender Vlad Chiriches has revealed he’s not happy about the amount of playing time he’s getting at White Hart Lane.

The centre back has struggled to get into Mauricio Pochettino’s side in any competition so far this season.

“I don't know anything about the links, but now I can't say I'm very happy at the club because I'm not in the team and it's hard for me,” he told Sky Sports News.
