Leeds United manager Neil Redfearn has revealed that Tommaso Bianchi is back in training.
The Italian central midfielder suffered a shin injury during the Whites’ 3-1 victory over Blackpool at Elland Road in the Championship last weekend.
Bianchi failed to finish the match and was substituted in the second half, but Redfearn played down any long-term problems.
The newly-appointed full-time Leeds manager has now stated that Bianchi is back in training and is quoted by The Yorkshire Evening Post as saying: ‘He is fine.
‘It was just a whack and he is back in training now. To be fair, he loves his training and he had a day where we rested him. But it was just a badly-bruised shin and he has got on with it and he’s fine now’.
Bianchi has not always had the best of times at Leeds since his move from Italian club Sassuolo in the summer transfer window, but as stats below show, he is an important member of the team.

The 26-year-old has played in all but one of Leeds’s Championship games and has established himself as a key man in midfield.
Bianchi arrived from Italy in the summer with a point to prove, and now that he is fully fit, he will be determined to train hard and prepare for next weekend’s Championship match against Blackburn Rovers away from home.
Leeds will head into the game placed 15th in the league table with 20 points from 17 matches, just four points above the relegation zone and eight behind sixth-placed Brentford.
