Leeds United could bid a temporary farewell to some of their current players this month.
Leeds United manager Neil Redfearn has again been speaking about the possibility of sending some of his players out on loan before the end of the month.
The former Academy boss suggested some of Leeds’ young talents could depart in comments made in October, and now firmly in place as first-team manager he has suggested there is still time for a few temporary departures before the loan window closes.
In comments published by the Yorkshire Evening Post, Redfearn said, “There’s been a lot of enquiries.
“I had a chat with Massimo (Cellino) before the international break and he knows what I think.
“We are well aware there’s 10 or so days before the window shuts in November and if any go out, I think it will be sooner rather than later, I would have thought.”
The report names Nicky Ajose, Noel Hunt, Luke Murphy and Scott Wootton as players who could potentially move on. But there are also a number of young Leeds stars that Redfearn may feel would benefit from a brief spell away from Elland Road.
Whatever happens this month, the Leeds boss’s comments suggest there will be some movement, with his first-team very much in his mind and a number of players well aware that if they want to experience regular action they will have to do it elsewhere.
