Whether just playing poorly, driving at 150mph in a 40 zone or deciding to swap shirts with gone away striker Robin van Persie at half-time it is fair to say that Brazilian ‘defender’ Andre Santos had a pretty tumultuous time at Arsenal ever since joining from Fenerbahce in a £6.2 million move.
But it was his dubious credentials as a defender that in the end proved the final nail in his coffin. The Gunners brought in Nacho Monreal from Malaga and the Samba star was shipped out on loan to Gremio.
After a stint at Flamengo he is now playing in the Indian Super League with FC Goa, alongside an Arsenal legend.
Robert Pires came out of retirement at the age of 41 to play for Goa in the ISL this season, last night scoring his first goal for the club.
Which gave the opportunity for a notorious Arsenal flop to celebrate with a certain Arsenal legend, perhaps one of the best to ever wear the shirt.
A moment which was fittingly snapped by photographers in India.
