Monaco, PSV Eindhoven, Atletico Madrid, Athletic Bilbao and Hoffenheim stars all feature.
Manchester United showed last summer that they have the financial strength to go after the very best players in Europe.
There are definite areas where Louis van Gaal’s side could use reinforcements during the January transfer window, but the rumour mill continues to link the club with plenty of exciting and different targets.
Here are five of the best.
Radamel Falcao (AS Monaco)
The debate of whether United are going to make Falcao’s move to Old Trafford a permanent one rolls on. The club are thought to have doubts over his long term fitness considering his fee would be in the region of £44 million.
Joao Miranda (Atletico Madrid)
Miranda is one of the central defenders who gets linked with United on a weekly basis. Reports suggest there is plenty of competition for him but at £20 million, United could do a lot worse than trying to sign him.
Memphis Depay (PSV Eindhoven)
Reports from this morning have linked United with an £18 million move for the player. However, whether the first team needs another winger is doubtful considering the options LvG already has in wide positions.
Aymeric Laporte (Athletic Bilbao)
This would be an interesting £32 million deal for United considering Laporte is still relatively young and inexperienced at 20-years-old. However, if they get it right, he has the potential to be part of their defence for the next decade.
Roberto Firmino (Hoffenheim)
If United don’t manage to do a deal for Depay then Firmino may be the alternative winger target they consider. At £25 million he’d be more expensive but he represents a chance for the club to get one over on Liverpool who have also been linked with him.
