A select round-up of the latest news relating to Manchester United

According to the Mirror Radamel Falcao has two months to prove to Manchester United that he deserves a permanent deal at the club.

The Colombian international has yet to hit the heights many expected of him, scoring just once and barely featuring since his loan move from AS Monaco. And the paper claims Falcao now faces what it calls a two month “make-or-break period”.

In other news, former United manager David Moyes has revealed that Sir Alex Ferguson recommended he moved to his new club Real Sociedad.

The Scot was appointed manager of the La Liga club earlier this week and in quotes published by Goal.com, the former Everton boss said, “We talked about the opportunity, which he thought was a great opportunity. I felt it was the right move for me and he backed me up.”

And finally, Juan Mata has been speaking about taking every chance he gets in the United first-team.

The former club-record signing has been a bit-part player in recent weeks, despite maintaining his impressive goal-scoring form.

The former Chelsea man netted the winner against Crystal Palace last weekend and in comments published by ESPN he said, “What we have to do is what I did against Palace – seize every opportunity and try to help the team.”
