Manchester United latest: Real Madrid don't want Falcao; Rooney’s special boots

All the latest news, views and transfer rumours from Old Trafford…

Real Madrid have reportedly stepped out of the race to sign Manchester United loanee Radamel Falcao on a permanent basis due to injury concerns.

The Daily Star has picked up on claims from Spain that the European champions – who have been strongly linked with the Colombian in the past – will not sanction a move for the player should a proposed long-term switch to United not go through.

The Colombian international continues to struggle with injuries and United are yet to see the best of him since his loan move from AS Monaco.

In other news, United forward Wayne Rooney will wear special boots to commemorate his 100th England cap.

The Independent reports that the England skipper will wear Nike boots with the number 100 on the side when he makes his milestone appearance against Slovenia on Saturday.
