Manchester City latest: Pozo comments; Aguero admits he didn’t know teammate

All the latest news, views and transfer rumours from the Etihad…

Manchester City youngster Jose Angel Pozo has been speaking about learning from his Blues teammates in an interview with Spanish newspaper Marca.

The 18-year-old forward said, “I try to learn from them, watch what they do and take the best from each one.”

Pozo made his senior City debut earlier this season, scoring in a League Cup victory against Sheffield Wednesday. And if he continues to take the best from all the talent around him at the Etihad Stadium, he could ultimately become a very good player indeed.

In other news, City striker Sergio Aguero has been talking about his international teammate Lionel Messi.

In an interview with City TV the on-form City star admitted that when he first met the Barcelona player he did not know who he was.

“Yes, that’s true,” Aguero said. “I was about to turn 17. He sat beside me. I looked at him but I didn’t know him.”

There is no doubt everyone knows who the diminutive forward is now, but it is a story Aguero clearly reflects on fondly having seen their two lives pan out in the years since.
