Alberto Moreno has returned to his hometown after not being selected by the Spanish national team.
This summer a left-back remained a priority at Liverpool with Brendan Rodgers keen to revitalise that area of the pitch.
Liverpool used right-footed Jon Flanagan at left-back for much of last season while Aly Cissokho did not impress on his loan deal. The injury record of Jose Enrique did not exactly inspire confidence either.
So they splashed out the cash on Alberto Moreno. The rising Spanish star cost them just £12 million despite being considered one of Spain's brightest talents.
He has certainly had his moments at the club, good and bad.
Going forward he has proved a real threat for the club - even scoring a great goal during his time.
But defensively he has also had his moments. He has shown an ineptitude at times at the back which has seen him criticised in some circles. He was at fault for a couple of goals in recent times and with that in mind he has not made the Spanish national team for their most recent fixtures.
He has seen Cesar Azpilicueta, Juan Bernat and Jordi Alba selected by Vicente Del Bosque, the Liverpool full-back therefore not involved in international duty this week.
So, with a little bit of time off from work commitments he has taken the opportunity to head back to his hometown of Seville.
He posted this picture and message on Twitter to show he had gone home for a while earlier today. Hopefully he will come back having eradicated those defensive errors after the international break.
