David Moyes will be officially presented later today.
As you will probably know by now David Moyes has been named the new manager of La Liga side Real Sociedad. The former Manchester United and Everton boss certainly has a task on his hands turning around the fortunes of a talented squad, who have struggled to deal with the departure of star players this summer.
He will be officially presented to the media this evening but today the ex-United boss got into costume for the first time. He pulled on the official Real Sociedad training strip in order to observe the majority of the Sociedad first-team squad take part in a session this morning.
Carlos Vela and Alfred Finnbogason were not present because of international duties but all in all it was the first-team Moyes will have at his disposal.
The session was taken by Asier Santana and Imanol Sheriff - two men hoping Moyes does not cull them from the coaching staff. Moyes is currently looking for English speaking Spanish coaching staff to work alongside him, with former Derby County midfielder Inigo Idiakez mentioned as one potential candidate.
No hands on coaching from Moyes today, he again just watched and absorbed the players who will soon be calling him boss.
And by the looks of things, despite the way his Manchester United career ended, the people and press of San Sebastian remember his time at Everton very fondly.
