United youngsters Pereira, Janko and Mitchell deserve a chance in 2015

Andreas Pereira, Saidy Janko and Demetri Mitchell all deserve a chance in Manchester United's first-team next year.

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has already showed he is not afraid to give young players a chance with the likes of Paddy McNair, Tyler Blackett and James Wilson thrown into the first-team in recent times. But there are plenty more young players at Old Trafford who deserve to show what they can do in the senior side.

With 2015 fast approaching, we take a look at three young United players who should be given a chance either in the second half of this season or at the beginning of the following campaign.

Andreas Pereira

For a while it looked as though Andreas Pereira would be another young player van Gaal put his trust in. But despite the 18-year-old attacking midfielder making the bench for three Premier League games this season, his only action was as a second-half substitute in the League Cup humiliation against MK Dons.

That said, Pereira has sublime talent and could well force his way into van Gaal’s plans for the start of next season if not before.

Saidy Janko

Much has been said about United’s right-back options, with Rafael often side-lined through injury and the only apparent alternative being Antonio Valencia. But there are two other options in the form of Marnick Vermijl and Saidy Janko.

It is the latter who van Gaal should be keeping a particularly close eye on, with the young Swiss player looking a class act since his move to the club in the summer of 2013.

Demetri Mitchell

He may only be 17, but Demetri Mitchell could soon be forcing van Gaal into a re-think when it comes to his use of wingers.

The England under-18 international is a hugely exciting talent who is said to have attracted plenty of interest from clubs wishing to take him on loan or on a permanent basis.

Van Gaal reportedly rates the player very highly and wants to tie him to a new long-term deal at the club, and that is no surprise given Mitchell’s goal-scoring record and devastating pace.
