We take a look at three Manchester United players who have seized their opportunities while out on loan.
Manchester United have a number of players currently out on loan, some hoping their performances see them break into Louis van Gaal’s first-team further down the line and some more experienced stars well aware that they are playing for their future.
Here we take a look at three United players who are doing well since temporarily leaving Old Trafford:
When Angelo Henriquez first signed for United as a teenager those who had followed his career suggested Sir Alex Ferguson had signed a goal-scorer extraordinaire. And the way he has started his loan spell at Dinamo Zagreb few would disagree.
Still only 20, and likely to be causing van Gaal a few wry smiles from afar, Henriquez has scored 13 goals in his last 11 games for the Croatian side. If only United had a player available in that kind of form!
Arguably the most frustrating player ever to pull on a United shirt, when Nani is on form he is unstoppable, but too often during his time at Old Trafford he has failed to live up to that considerable potential.
The Portuguese international returned to his former club Sporting Lisbon for a loan spell this season and he has embraced the chance, scoring five goals in 13 games including three in just four Champions League matches.
Could he have a future at United? Before this campaign it did not look likely, but now van Gaal may think twice.
A huge fan favourite at Old Trafford, Javier Hernandez made arguably the biggest loan move possible, swapping United for Real Madrid.
The Mexican international has four goals for the European champions to date, including three in just five La Liga appearances.
Unlikely to have a future at United considering the strikers ahead of him, he could well be playing his way into a permanent stay at the Bernabeu.
