Former Tottenham Hotspur manager Terry Venables understands the problems the club are facing at the moment.
Expectations were high at White Hart Lane in the summer following the appointment of Mauricio Pochettino as the manager.
However, things have not gone according to plan, as the North London club are currently languishing in the bottom half of the table.
Tottenham legend Venables understands the current problems at the club and is quoted as saying by Sky Sports: ‘The expectation is high because they spent a lot of money and bought a lot of players, but it’s not as easy as that.
‘At the moment, Tottenham are not playing as well as they want to be. They need to do something about that, but it’s not easy’.
Tottenham are currently 12th in the Premier League table with 14 points from 11 matches, just five points above the relegation zone and four points behind fourth-placed West Ham United.
