French international striker is looking happy at London Colney.
Arsenal fans have not had much to shout about recently, so any news that is not them throwing away a lead against teams they should be beating is looked upon favourably.
So here is some good news, as French international striker Olivier Giroud is back out on the London Colney training pitches as he steps up his recovery from a leg fracture.
Moments after scoring an equaliser against Everton back in September Giroud attempted to block a Sylvain Distin clearance, but suffered a fracture to the base of his tibia which was supposed to rule him out until the new year.
But those reports soon died down and Giroud has been approaching near fitness in recent weeks.
Now, with the bulk of Arsenal players away on international duty, Arsene Wenger and co decided this was the best opportunity to bring Giroud back into the action with some tentative exercises and the odd photo opportunity.
Danny Welbeck has certainly done well in his absence but the idea of signing the England international was to add depth to the team. With Giroud back Wenger can begin to rotate the system once again and hopefully get results back on the right track.
Giroud scored two goals in his only four games of the season so far and netted 22 times for the club last campaign. So Arsenal will be hoping he can bang in the goals upon his long-awaited return.
