Tottenham Hotspur defender Vlad Chiriches has been speaking about reports linking him with a move away from the club and his feelings having barely featured for Spurs this season.
In an interview given to Sky Sports, Chiriches said, “I don’t know anything about the links but now I can’t say I’m very happy at the club because I am not in the team and it’s hard for me.
“But I think I can improve my game and I can play.”
The Romanian defender has made just four appearances for Tottenham this season and has not featured in the Premier League since consecutive appearances against Sunderland and West Bromwich Albion.
The 24-year-old has also played twice in the Europa League but was only an unusued substitute for both games against Asteras Tripolis.
Chiriches came in for some criticism from Tottenham fans during his first season at the club but the defence has looked just as shaky with the likes of Federico Fazio and Younes Kaboul in the back-line.
But whatever happens regarding the player in the future, it is clear he is not happy playing no part in a side with plenty of centre-backs but numerous questions regarding the best combination.
