Tottenham Hotspur's right-back took to Twitter following his return to training.
It had been a long wait for Tottenham Hotspur right-back Kyle Walker, but the 24-year-old finally returned to training this week after eight months out with an abdominal injury.
It had been a long and arduous road to recovery for a player who - on his day - is one of the best attacking full-backs in the Premier League. But patience is the key and despite his latest boost it could still be a while before the England international is racing down the White Hart Lane touchline once more.
Tottenham are in the midst of something of a crisis, their form continuing to frustrate and their defence looking anything but secure as manager Mauricio Pochettino too often makes team selections that baffle the majority of Spurs fans. But Walker's availability could at least solve one problem.
Following his return to the training field the Tottenham star took to social media to send a message he has surely been hoping to write for quite some time.
'Good to be back training this week,' Walker wrote. 'Great being back in with the lads.'
It will be even better when he is back on the pitch for the first-team, by which time Tottenham fans will be hoping their manager has settled on a side that can challenge rather than struggle for the rest of the campaign.
