A round up of news stories this morning about Tottenham Hotspur.

Morgan Schneiderlin says he wants to play for a ‘big club’.

The Frenchman has made a good start to the season with Southampton, as Tottenham continue to be linked with a move for him this winter.

“A career passes quickly and I want to play for a big club. Today I am at Southampton, we are second in the Premier League, it’s going well,” said the midfielder.

The Mirror claims Southampton are set to offer key Tottenham target Jay Rodriguez a new long term deal.

The England striker is thought to be a priority transfer target for Mauricio Pochettino.

The Saints could offer the forward a five-year deal before he returns to the side from injury.

The FA has dismissed Kyle Naughton’s appeal over the red card he received in the game against Stoke last weekend.

Naughton was sent off just before full-time in the defeat which has created speculation over Mauricio Pochettino’s future.

The FA confirmed he will serve a two match suspension.
