Manchester City latest: Loan star speaks; Mangala and Fernando joke

All the latest news, views and transfer rumours from the Etihad…

Manchester City striker Alvaro Negredo, who is currently on loan at Spanish club Valencia, has been speaking about getting back to his best form following injury.

In comments published by Inside Spanish Football, the front-man said, “I’m keen to score, but I don’t have any anxiety.

“A striker lives for the moment and goals, so now the principal thing is to ensure I’m good physically.”

Negredo has made three appearances for his loan club this season but has only seen a total of 42 minutes action so far.

In other news, City teammates Fernando and Eliaquim Mangala have been taking part in a quiz for the club’s official website.

The subject was each other and among the revelations was that Mangala is the fastest of the two, Fernando the most skilful while the two disagreed – unsurprisingly – when it came to who had the best dress sense and the best taste in music.
