Juan Mata reveals what he is doing in the international break after snub

Juan Mata has revealed that he is playing golf whilst being on his international break.

Spain revealed their national team this week, with several Premier League players unfortunately still absent.

That includes Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata, who currently finds himself sitting on the sidelines for his nation.

Louis van Gaal has only been using Mata sporadically for Manchester United under Van Gaal, although he put in a match-winning performance against Crystal Palace last weekend after coming on as a second half substitute.

However, because he has struggled for regular first team football Spanish manager Vicente Del Bosque decided to leave him out of the squad, even after David Silva and Cesc Fabregas were both ruled out because of injury.

So how does a Manchester United international spend his time when he is not called up for international duty?

Well what else would a footballer get up to? Mata has of course been out on the golf course.

He made that clear on his Twitter page today. So while Spain prepare to take on Belarus the United star is swinging iron.

He would no doubt swap his calming day on the course to be in Spanish team.
