Loan signing Adryan has been key for Leeds United in his recent appearances.
Leeds' tactical changes have come about thanks to the emergence of Adryan into the first team picture, claims an Italian journalist.
Emmanuele Giulanelli is a regular commentator on Leeds, with links to the Italian players at the club as well as owner Massimo Cellino and sporting director Nicola Salerno.
During his regular weekly slot on Radio Yorkshire, he has hailed the Brazilian attacker as key to the club's recent improvement.
"The reason they didn't play with these tactics, was because they had to wait for Adryan to be ready to play in the English Championship. Adryan is the man who makes the difference between 4-3-3 which we've seen first part of season, and the 4-3-1-2.
"He's the one behind two strikers and he is the quality payer who can give good balls to them. We have seen how Leeds can move behind the lines.
"He's a very important player, a key player for Leeds. Neil Redfearn knows this very well."
Adryan has two assists in four starts for Leeds, the latest coming in the 3-1 win over Blackpool.
The 20-year-old is on loan from Flamengo, and he spoke earlier this week of his enjoyment having settled into life at the club.
He feels fortunate to be there, amid the adulation from fans, but the team are lucky to have him too, and as a link player between midfield and attack there may be nobody in the Leeds squad able to fulfil the same role with the same impact.
